First Look at the Teaser Trailer for Aja's 'Mirrors'

Damn near laughable trailer for new Aja horror

Tell yah what, if this wasn't an Alexandre Aja film I would be laughing my ass off, but instead I am just chuckling as the teaser trailer for Mirrors has shown up online and while the premise is not too bad, the trailer doesn't look like it is anything more than "been there, done that."

Aja is a director, though, that pushes the limit and if Fox allows him to go R with this one it could be good. However, if it's PG-13 that would be like all those PG and PG-13 Eddie Murphy comedies. You can't take the edge out of the artist or you lose the will to succeed.

Mirrors is rated R for strong violence, disturbing images, language and brief nudity. That helps… a little…

Mirrors hits theaters on August 15. The greatest thing about this entire film is that the official site is touting this as a film from "Alex Aja". I guess stupid Americans don't want to see a film from a French director. Silly Americans, French films are for snobs.

Well look at that, not even the official site had the rating or the MPAA update I received today, but the MPAA site has it. Now I just hope the movie is good because that trailer isn't. :)
