Finney Wants 'A Good Year'

Finney joins Crowe in Ridley feature.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Albert Finney has signed on to star alongside Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott's next feature A Good Year for Fox 2000.

The film is based on the novel by Peter Mayle, and centers on Max Skinner (Crowe), a London financier who quits the rat race after inheriting a vineyard in the south of France. Finney will play Henry Skinner, Crowe's uncle and one-time owner of the property.

The female lead has not been cast as of yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if word comes down soon.
