Fey and Poehler ‘Baby Mama’ Ready to Roll

New comedy from SNL duo set to lense in April

The comedy from “Saturday Night Live” duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, which was first reported back in September 2006, is finally set to being production in April. The film, titled Baby Mama, was written and will be directed by Michael McCullers.

The pic will star Fey and Poehler with Fey playing Kate, a single and successful executive at Happy Planet (a Whole Foods-type grocery store) whose desire to have a child and keep her career leads her to hire a surrogate (Poehler).

McCullers, who with Mike Myers wrote the Austin Powers sequels The Spy Who Shagged Me and Goldmember is making his directorial debut when cameras begin to roll for eight weeks of principal photography on April 30 in locations around New York.
