Ferrell and Reilly Re-team as ‘Brothers’

Talladega duo together again

After the little bit of rumor surrounding Will Ferrell’s next pic it looks like a real bit of casting news comes from Variety as it appears Ferrell and John C. Reilly had so much fun filming Talladega Nights together with director Adam McKay that the trio will re-team for Step Brothers, a comedy to be scripted by Ferrell and McKay.

In the film Ferrell and Reilly will play coddled guys who live with their respective single parents. Their folks fall in love and marry, making the guys stepbrothers.

Columbia Pictures will again distribute the pic and has already paid a premium for the script, and agreed to salaries for Ferrell, Reilly and McKay with a projected summer 2007 start date and a tentative budget that will be slightly less than that for Talladega Nights.
