However I'm not too sure about the sequel, dont you folks think it would've been better to make the Hobbit in two movies instead of coming up with new material for a sequel (could be tricky). From the research I've done about it, it seems like it was originally for Tolkien's kids, while LOTR was more mature with it's context. I think the child-like quality of the story is what makes Del Toro perfect for this project. What's good is how even though he prefers The Hobbit to the rest, he's still respecting it's world and wants everything to tie together.
