Evans Joins Keanu and Forest in ‘Watchman’

The Human Torch will light up the 'Night'

IGN is reporting that Chris Evans, a.k.a. The Human Torch from Fox’s Fantastic Four, is set to join Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker in Fox Searchlight’s The Night Watchman for writer-director David Ayer.

The Night Watchman centers on a veteran LAPD cop (Keanu Reeves) who turns to alcohol after the death of his wife. The cop is forced to go up against his longtime mentor (Whitaker) when he is implicated in the execution of a fellow officer.

Evans tells IGN, “I play this guy named Diskant. He’s a cop, good cop… When Keanu gets framed or implicated in this murder, he’s the cop in charge of the investigation.”

Word is that filming begins on May 21 in Los Angeles.
