Emily Blunt's Involvement in 'Iron Man 2' is in Question
Who will be the Black Widow?

Every single movie blog in the known universe is reporting on a story from The Playlist in which they are giving out second hand information as one of their readers — someone named "Script Grrrl" — tells them they they heard Jon Favreau on E! say "Fox exercised its [Gulliver's Travels] option on Emily Blunt, and that she definitely won't be in Iron Man 2." I enjoy and trust The Playlist as much as anyone else, but it is hard for me to just blindly accept this story, especially considering E! didn't report on it (which I can't believe they wouldn't have) and I didn't see Jon Favreau once during the many hours I was covering the Oscar broadcast last night. Of course, that doesn't mean he wasn't there, but E! had NASCAR-like trackers on the celebs showing up I would have thought I would have at least caught a glimpse from afar.
Perhaps the worst part of all of this is how everyone is now wondering if Favreau will now switch his attention to Eliza Dushku who has apparently been campaigning for the part telling the Howard Stern Show:
They're doing Iron Man 2, and I’m so perfect for the Black Widow character, that they just need to get into it. They need to understand… I just learned Russian because I had to play a Russian girl in "Dollhouse."
And the other actress's name is Scarlett Johansson, a story that began on Valentine's Day when Entertainment Weekly reported the news Johansson was in discussions to replace Blunt. Ugh, please let that not be true.
Personally I don't see Johansson or Dushku as comprable actresses when it comes to comparing to Blunt. I have no idea what this Black Widow character is all about, but I can't help but think if this movie was being made 7 years ago or so Famke Janssen would have been perfect.
