According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elizabeth Banks has signed on to star opposite Mark Wahlberg in Invincible, a film centered on a Philadelphia Eagles fan who went to the team's open tryout and ended up making the squad. Wahlberg will play the fan, a teacher who loses his wife and job, while Banks will play his love interest, a bartender who roots for the Eagles' arch-rivals, the New York Giants.

The film will be directed by Cinematographer Ericson Core who will be making his feature film directorial debut.
