Ed Norton to Play Hulk!!

Now this is some interesting casting

Well folks, it appears Eric Bana will not be reprising his role as Bruce Banner as Universal is truly preparing to restart the Hulk franchise with Edward Norton as the lead in The Incredible Hulk for director Louis Leterrier.

It was long suspected that Bana would ultimately somehow be back as Banner after he first played the man that becomes the big green monster for Ang Lee in the 2003 movie Hulk. That movie pulled in a disappointing $132 million at the domestic box-office, but it was hardly Bana's fault. However, while it appears this second film is still being considered a sequel Marvel Films is hoping to make this version less self-serious and more in line with the comic series and TV show.

The new pic begins with Banner on the run, trying to avoid capture long enough to cure the condition that turns him into a misunderstood green menace.

Filming is set to begin this summer in Toronto with a planned June 13, 2008 release.
