DVD Download: #4

A couple collections, three to PSP and an Unrated Edition!

Check out DVD DOWNLOAD Issue #3 HERE

While this last week didn’t give us a ton of titles to add to the database it gave us some quality titles including a couple of collections, some unrated goodies, a second season of one of the best TV shows and some new PSP titles. So what are we waiting for?

ADDED THIS WEEK
Cursed & Cursed (Unrated Edition)
(June 21st)

Coming to DVD on June 21st is both the PG-13 and Unrated editions of Cursed, the Wes Craven werewolf thriller that did only $19 million in box-office, but should have a better life on DVD regardless of how good the film is. As for the DVDs the Unrated Edition will carry along with it a filmmaker’s commentary that won’t available on the PG-13 version but they will both include the following features:

· “Behind The Fangs: the Making of Cursed”
· “The Cursed Effects” featurette on the film’s special effects
· “Creature Editing 101″
· Creature creation featurette “Becoming A Werewolf”

You can click here to buy the Unrated Edition and click here to buy the PG-13 version.

Beyond the Sea
(June 7th)

Next up is the Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth musical drama following the tragic-heroic life of the late teen singing idol, Bobby Darin.

Other than the fact that this one is coming out on June 7th there aren’t any special features listed as of yet so stay tuned for those, you can however click here to order a copy for yourself.

The Bette Davis Collection
(June 14th)

Number one of our two collections that was added this week features Miss Bette Davis, and while she isn’t one of my favorite actresses of all time to ignore this collection would be a film lover’s mistake as it features five of Bette’s Warner greats including 3 new-to-DVD classics, featuring Davis in multiple Emmy-nominated performances as a captivating adulteress, a manipulative beauty, and a former Oscar-winning actress recovering from the end of her career.

The collection features the following titles:

The Joan Crawford Collection
(June 14th)

Battling Davis for DVD supremacy on June 14th is another great as Warner Bros is releasing a five movie collection for Joan Crawford.

The Joan Crawford Collection features classics from the star whose career spanned more than 40 years. The list of films include:

TV DVDs
Nip/Tuck - The Complete Second Season
(August 30th)

Like I said in the opening, one of the best TV shows out there. I was completely unaware of how good “nip/tuck” actually was until I received a review copy of season one last year and after the first few episodes I was floored and it is with excitement that I add the complete second season set to the database.

The set will include over 45 minutes of unaired scenes, tied to their respective episodes and a “Recurring Pain” featurette all about Dr. Troy and the women who love him in Season Two, and that is a lot.

Unfortunately the set isn’t available yet for preorder, but the second it is we will be sure to update the site.

Sony PSP Titles
None of these titles are available for preorder as of yet, but the artwork and release dates are featured below.
Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid
(June 28th)

The Grudge
(June 28th)

You Got Served
(June 28th)
