It seems more and more actresses are stepping forward and into the director's chair as it was only a couple of weeks ago when we learned that Joey Lauren Adams will be making her directorial debut on Come Early Morning, now we learn that French actress Julie Delpy will be doing the same.

Delpy is probably best known for her romantic films opposite Ethan Hawke, Before Sunrise and Before Sunset, and it seems she doesn't want to stray too far from Ethan as the two will star in Bathory a film Delpy not only wrote but will also direct.

Bathory is based on the legendary Elizabeth Bathory, who inspired many a vampire myth with sadistic rituals that included bathing in the blood of virgins.

Delpy will next be seen in The Legend of Lucy Keyes and in Jim Jarmusch's Broken Flowers, which premieres tomorrow at the Cannes Film Festival.
