‘Death Race’ Trailer and Official Site Online

Vroom, vroom, it's Fast and Furious on acid

Jason Statham is so bad ass in The Fast and the Mad Max Furious Race

Hmmm, just looking at the pics at the newly launched official site for Universal’s August release Death Race makes me think of The Fast and the Furious. Throw in Tyrese, replace Paul Walker with Jason Statham and give it a Mad Max feel and you have Death Race, the remake of the 1975 film that starred David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone centering on a brutal cross-country car race of the future where pedestrians are run down for points. The champion of said race has a change of heart while being hounded by rivals and a conspiracy seeking to stop the race.

The trailer has just launched at Yahoo and you can check it out below or right here in QuickTime HD.

ALSO, be sure to check out 19 new pictures from the film right here after watching the trailer.
