Daniel Craig Moves into Jim Sheridan's 'Dream House' Thriller

A little primer before beginning work on the next Bond

Variety reports that Daniel Craig (Casino Royale) is set to star in Dream House, a psychological thriller for Morgan Creek and director Jim Sheridan. The script was written by David Loucka.

In the film Craig will play a New York publishing exec who relocates his family to a small New England town only to learn that their new home was the scene of a vicious murder. Shooting is a ways off, with principal photography scheduled for January 25.

The story was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter back on June 23, but this isn't the first time this story has been bandied about the trades.

Way back in August of 2005 the film was first mentioned as screenwriter Ehren Kruger and his production partner Daniel Bobker first set the film up at Universal Pictures. Bobker and Krueger are still on as producers along with James G. Robinson and David Robinson and Universal will still distribute.

Craig's plate is currently wide open as he is about to star with Hugh Jackman in a Broadway play titled "A Steady Rain," by John Crowley and awaits the start of James Bond 23. He will also play the role of Red Rackham in Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn due in theaters on December 23, 2011.
