CONTEST: ‘Hatchet’ Your Way to L.A.!

Another new name enters the horror block

Earlier this year I gave high marks to a little independent horror film called Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon for its originality in a genre that has become a bit stagnant. Well, it looks like we might have one more contender that has decided to avoid the torture horror pool with Anchor Bay’s Hatchet as it is set to hit theaters on September 7th.

Well, the folks at Anchor Bay are doing it up big for this little flick as they are offering a chance for you to Join the Hatchet Army and register for a chance to win a trip for 2 to Los Angeles for three (3) days, two (2) nights to meet a select member(s) of the cast, Blu Ray Players and More!

There is a catch though, you have to do a little recruiting, but online recruiting is pretty much old school now with all this MySpace “add me” stuff. So here is what you do, got to www.hatchetarmy.com, enlist in the Hatchet Army and begin recruiting friends. It’s not rocket science folks. Everyone who executes their orders to the fullest will be rewarded with entries into the Hatchet Army Sweepstakes.

Also, while you are over there be sure to check out the exclusive videos of cast members and footage from Hatchet, it looks like a pretty cool flick as a group of tourists on a New Orleans haunted swamp tour find themselves stranded in the wilderness, their evening of fun and spooks turns into a horrific nightmare.

The film brings to life a new horror genre madman by the name of Victor Crowley and it even stars Kane Hodder (Jason from Friday the 13th) and Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger).
