Come Get Your 2010 American Award Show Schedule
Oscars, Globes and SAGs all have official dates...
Today came the final piece of the American award show puzzle as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association revealed it will be holding the 2010 Golden Globe Awards on January 17, 2010 from 5-8 PM (PST) and 8-11 PM (EST) live from The Beverly Hilton on NBC. Yup, you read that correctly, they will be live on both coasts. I have never understood how an award show held on the West Coast was tape delayed for the West Coast, but I guess the powers that be at the HFPA finally found a little logic and sorted the issue out.
On top of this we also know the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be held six days later on January 23, 2010 from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center and broadcast on on TNT and TBS. The SAGs had originally been set for Sunday, January 31, 2010, but had to be moved due to scheduling conflicts.
Finally, the big show, the 2010 Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood and Highland. - Nov. 6, 2009 : Deadline for submission of Golden Globe entry forms
- Nov. 2009 (exact date TBA): Cecil B. DeMille Award/Miss Golden Globe Announcement
- Dec. 3, 2009: Deadline for nomination ballots to be mailed by Ernst & Young to all HFPA members
- Dec. 9, 2009: Final screening date for Motion Pictures
- Dec. 10, 2009: Final date for Motion Picture press conferences
- Dec. 11, 2009: Deadline for receipt by Ernst & Young of nomination ballots
- Dec. 15, 2009: 5:00 a.m. Nomination Announcement of "The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards"
- Dec. 18, 2009: Deadline for receipt of media credential applications
- Dec. 28, 2009: Final ballots mailed by Ernst & Young to all HFPA members
- Jan. 6, 2010: Deadline for receipt of publicist credential applications
- Jan. 13, 2010: Deadline for receipt by Ernst & Young of final ballots
- Jan. 17, 2010: Presentation of "The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards"
