Christian Bale is John Connor in ‘Terminator 4′
The news just never stops...
Go figure, while I am trying to enjoy a Thanksfiving break Ain’t It Cool News has to go and drop news that Christian Bale will star in Termintor Salvation: The Future Begins as John Connor, instantly legitimizing the production.
Now, the only problem with the production is that McG is aboard to direct, a helmer yet to prove he is all that capable behind the camera.
The film will be set in the future, in a full-scale war between Skynet and humankind. The film picks up about ten years, give or take, after Terminator 3, John Connor is in his 30s, and leading what’s left of the human race against the machines. However, it has already been said that he is ultimately not the hero of the film by “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” consulting producer James Middleton who said, “Ben-Hur was influenced by Jesus Christ, but it was his story. Much in that way, this character will be influenced by John Connor.”
I am curious to see where this goes, and to see if McG can do anything more than the flashy efforts he made with Charlie’s Angels and the overly melodramatic heap that was We Are Marshall.
