The 'who cares' report

Lee Pace has signed on to star opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar in the thriller Addicted. The film is being directed by Joel Bergvall and Simon Sandquist and is a loosely based adaptation of the 2002 South Korean pic Jungdok telling the story of a woman whose husband and brother-in-law end up in a coma after a horrible accident. When the brother-in-law wakes up, he says he is her true husband. [Variety]

Joseph Fiennes will star as Antonio Vivaldi in a biopic to be directed by Boris Damast. Lena Headey, Malcolm McDowell, Jacqueline Bisset and Zuleikha Robinson also join the cast which will be directed by Boris Damast from a script by Steven Freedman. Freedman has spent more than two decades researching Vivaldi, whose most famous composition is “The Four Seasons.” The pic follows the composer as a young priest assigned to serve as music master of a school for the abandoned, illegitimate daughters of Venice’s courtesans. He bonds with the girls, which leads to his landing a concert of his music before the pope. [Variety]

Matthew Modine and Lara Flynn Boyle have joined the cast of A West Texas Children’s Story which is already shooting in Albuquerque, NM. The film also stars AnnaSophia Robb and Cayden Boyd and Brad Isaacs wrote and is directing the flick. [Variety]
