Cast Set for DreamWorks' Animated 'Dragon' Tale

Butler and Ferrera headline book adaptation

Gerard Butler

Variety is reporting that Gerard Butler, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel and Christopher Mintz-Plasse will voice How to Train Your Dragon for DreamWorks Animation and director Peter Hastings. Hastings seems like an odd choice considering his most notable directorial outing is the 2002 children's flick The Country Bears, but who knows.

The film is an adaptation of the Cressida Cowell book in which the son of a Viking chief must capture a dragon in order to be initiated into his tribe.

Dragon will follow in the footsteps of another DreamWorks animated release, Monsters vs. Aliens, and will be produced in Ultimate 3-D.

Dragon is set for a March 26, 2010 release.
