The Cast of 'Final Destination 4' is a Bunch of No Names

Who are these people?

I guess it doesn't really matter who gets cast in Final Destination 4 considering once things are said and done they are all going to be dead anyway. The real thrill of the Final Destination films is how they are going to die and this time around the added thrill of seeing the cast perish in 3-D.

Variety has announced the cast which includes Shantel VanSanten, Bobby Campo, Hayley Webb, Nick Zano, Krista Allen and Andy Fiscella with Final Destination 2 helmer David Ellis back to direct what is said to be the final chapter in the Final Destination franchise.

The big draw for the series has been the gruesome death scenes along with the highly entertaining opening sequences that kick start the whole film as a group of teens cheat death only to be chased down by the invisible threat throughout the rest of the film. The first film began with a plane explosion, the second film a massive traffic accident and the third began with a roller coaster accident.

This fourth film apparently kicks off when a teenager's premonition of a deadly racecar crash spares his life and those of a few lucky others. But death continues to stalk those who escaped it.

Eric Bress, who penned the second installment, returned to write the fourth, which in my eyes gives this flick promise considering the second film was really the only one in the franchise I truly enjoy and actually own. I definitely think the crash at the beginning of the film is the greatest opening of the three.

Shooting begins this month in New Orleans with a 2009 release anticipated.

I don't know about this one. I liked the 2nd more than the first, but the 3rd one was the best my far. The roller coaster scene was the best opening also.

A race-car crash sounds too similar to the car crash; it should've been a cruise ship or an elevator (like an open one that could fall, pop out of supports and hit and kill people around, cause other things to fall, etc).

However, putting a male in the lead (like the first) is a good idea. I just hope the rest of the movie makes up for what sounds a direct-to-dvd form of a final destination opening.

@Seiko: The whole plot in the 2nd with the baby being born to stop the deaths was also stupid and made no sense, even more so because it didn't work.
i do miss Ali Larter though, as I will miss Mary Elisabeth Winstead. Hopefully someone in this one will be a new rising star like they were.
