Captain Kirk Avoids Deadly Disease in 'Carriers'

A '28 Days' rip-off, but it just might work...

The trailer for Carriers recently arrived online and appears to be the last breath of Paramount's genre wing Paramount Vantage, but instead of Oscar-fare we are getting a PG-13 rated horror/thriller in the vein of 28 Days Later starring Lou Taylor Pucci, Chris Pine, Piper Perabo and Emily VanCamp.

There isn't an official synopsis yet, but basically a virus has broken out and the infected (or "carriers") are said to be the only thing more dangerous than the virus itself. The trailer has a certain edge to it, but the PG-13 rating may be a bit of a concern in this age where PG-13 thrillers have become quite tiresome. Let's hope this one has a story as good as the trailer.

Take a peek below, it looks like it may be pretty good. Carriers hits theaters on September 4.

looks actually promising for a PG-13 thriller. Its hard to tell from the trailer: so are there zombies that like chase the people?
i'll be seeing it.

I have to say…Im impressed.

Pg-13 horror/thriller movies definitely dont have the best track record, but movies like Cloverfield and Drag me to Hell showed that it CAN be done right. Heres hopin'.
