The other great thing is the one slightly negative review that was up early essentially said the film was amazing but "too violent." Something makes me think the PR team was ok with putting that vibe out there even though the film has what I'd call a normal violence level... Lastly, reviews are now pouring in and the cream of the crop at RT has Apocalypto at 33%. We might win this little skirmish yet...

No, there are strict guidelines for reviews that we follow and there is no sense in upsetting any studio by posting any review early. Negative or positive we stick by these guidelines. Normally I don't care it just blew me away how all these positive reviews kept popping up and then the article at New York Times just sort of put it over the top. I have Laremy's review ready to go and you will see it late Thursday at the latest.

Why can't you guys post on, Brad? This isn't a movie that I've really been looking forward to (The Pasion of the Christ did not work for me... even though I'm Catholic), but I would like to hear an opinion from a site that I trust. So, why? Is it because Touchstone is afraid of negative publicity?
