In a bit of a surprise Pierce Brosnan has apparently confirmed that his days as James Bond are over, and to the Toronto Sun nonetheless.

On his promotional tour for his upcoming film After the Sunset, Brosnan goes into detail saying that it was not his choice to abandon what would have been the 21st film in the Bond franchise, rather he was fired.

He tells the Toronto Sun, "And then one day the phone rang — I was here (in Nassau shooting After The Sunset) — and my agents told me that the goal posts had moved and that they had changed their minds."
