The first one cleared $67.9m on the opening weekend, back in May of 2003. That one also rocked to the tune of $485m worldwide. The difference? That one was a decent movie. This one sucks on wheels. And it will pay the price, Universal just set fire to hundreds of millions of dollars. You gotta like that!

Estimate: $42.0 million

Hello Surfer. Yeah, you got me last weekend, I way underestimated the public's desire to check you out. My bad. But you will fall over 50% with more family fare out there. Mark my words Surfer, this isn't over yet.

This is actually a pretty decent release date all things considered. What is competing against this? Not much. It will do pretty well considering that scary movies very rarely make any bank.

It's at $142m worldwide and I'm guessing all the bigger actors take giant paycuts just to party together. So let's put this in the win column for Warner Bros.

Estimate: $7.6 million

It won't make a billion dollars but it doesn't really matter. The franchise stands at $2.5b total which is exactly 2.5b more than you or I have. Unless Mark Cuban is reading my columns again.

Estimate: $5.9 million

I'm not knocking the story, or the real life aspect, but who in the world would want to see this? Yes, I would like to be depressed. Here's my eight bucks. C'mon.

I don't know what it costs to make animations these days but this still looks like a casualty. Unless they saved a LOT of money on Heder and Shia.

Estimate: $4.51 million

It will make the least of the three which is sweet justice. Sadly it still made $400m worldwide so we'll never really escape.

She stands at $9.3m and all I can say is "Nancy Dreeeeeeeeeeeeew." In other words, yeah, who cares.
