Boston Film Crix Also Award 'No Country' Best Pic of 2007

They also offer up a surprise award for Best Actor

Frank Langella
This weekend I went and dropped real American dollars to see Atonement for a second time, it was the third movie I have seen twice in theaters in 2007, The Kingdom and Reign Over Me were the other two. What this did was afford me the chance to actually watch trailers, and as much as I hated the experience it did give me a chance to see the trailer for Starting Out in the Evening, a film I hardly even knew existed. Along with the trailer came a quote from Roger Ebert saying something to the effect that it just might earn Frank Langella an Oscar nomination. Well, it isn't an Oscar nom just yet, but the Boston Socitey of Film Critics have awarded Langella their Best Actor disctinction as they announce their best of 2007 list.

The BSFC fell in line with the National Board of Review and also named No Country for Old Men the best picture of 2007. The BSFC and NBR also agree Ben Affleck (Gone Baby Gone) is the best new filmmaker and Amy Ryan (Gone Baby Gone) is the best supporting actress. The only other area they agree is best foreign film naming the fantastic The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, but the similarities stop there.

Here's the complete list:
