Also, when I reference the length that is just in terms of repeated viewings. I personally have a hard time plugging a film in when I know it is going to take me more than three hours to finish. I have a ton of DVDs I would watch more often if the movie wasn't so long. They look at me ... they see what they are." Great, great film. Stone uses Kennedy to get into Nixon's head, see what gave him his undeniable drive and ambition. He's channeling Shakespeare to show the tragedy of an incredibly intelligent guy who couldn't get out of his own way and was too proud to pull the plug on a war he inherited.
