$130 million?? Cue skepticism right here. It's going to have a challenge recouping that budget. Sure, the pedigree looks good, but "Body of Lies" had a good pedigree and it didn't help at the box office. I'd feel a lot more secure if the budget was something like $60-70 million instead.

@Patricia: Yes, A Good Year was quite the disappointment; however, I believe its because Sir Ridley abandoned what he does best: The Epic. Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven - these were finely crafted, epic, Oscar-worthy (yes, even Kingdom of Heaven was a fascinated feast for the eyes) films. I'm just saying, when Scott sticks to his guns, look out.

I don't care if the film wins any awards or not, I just hope its great.

P.S. Oh, and let us not forget Black Hawk Down - I will never understand how it got left out of the race for Best Picture and then the winner was the over-hyped, "decent" film that was A Beautiful Mind. Whereas BHD was possibly the best film ever made regarding "modern" warfare.

@<a href="#comment-12136" rel="nofollow">Quake82</a>:
Calm down. I agree this has tremendous possibilities to be a great film...equally possible is the potential for a disaster. Wasn't Crowe's and Scott's last film "A Good Year?" That was a indeed a bad year, I say, despite my enjoyment of Abbie Cornish's and Tom Hollander's performances. Don't go nominating this one for Oscars before it is even made.

Ridley Scott, Russell Crowe & Cate Blanchett - I don't care if the movie were an update of the Robin Hood story set in the year 3010 on the planet of Suckage, I would still be excited!

I know this is probably a long shot, but does anyone see this film contending for any Academy Awards (at least for Art Direction, Cinematography, Costume Design, Makeup)?
