Wes Bentley made an impressive debut in the Oscar-winner American Beauty, but after that who knows what happened, but as for the future Wes is set to play the villain Blackheart in Ghost Rider, opposite Nicolas Cage in the Columbia Pictures drama being directed by Mark Steven Johnson.

The film is an adaptation of yet another Marvel Comic centering on a motorcyclist who makes a pact with dark forces, gets double-crossed and battles the bad guys to protect the woman he loves.

Ghost Rider is scheduled to begin shooting next month in Australia.
