Justin Bartha's first major film role is undoubtedly National Treasure, as I am sure he is trying to forget he was ever even in Gigli, but since that performance he really hasn't seen a lot of action. Following his performance in National Treasure 2 he has scored a role in the ensemble drama New York, I Love You, which isn't exactly anything to brag about since just about everyone in Hollywood is in the flick.
However, this new film may help bolster his star power as he is set to star alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones in the rom-com The Rebound (not to be confused with the Martin Lawrence stinker) for director Bart Freundlich (Catch that Kid). Yeah, the Freundlich name doesn't inspire a lot of confidence, but when Bartha is set to play a 25-year-old man who starts an unlikely romance with his single-mother neighbor (Zeta-Jones) you gotta say he is growing up.
The film begins shooting this month in NYC.
