Bana and McAdams Set to Travel Time

Niggenegger novel set to begin in August

Variety has just announced that Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams are set to star in the feature film adaptation of Audrey Niggenegger’s The Time Traveler’s Wife for director Robert Schwentke.

In the film Bana will play a Chicago librarian with a genetic disorder that causes him to time-travel when he is under duress. Though his disorder causes him to vanish for long periods, he tries to build a life with the woman he loves. She’s a young heiress struggling with the arrangement.

Brad Pitt and Nick Wechsler’s Plan B is producing the feature. Jeremy Leven originally adapted it with Bruce Joel Rubin rewriting.

Production is set to begin in August.
