Arquette and Davis Find ‘Shark Boy and Lava Girl’

Robert Rodriguez helmed pic finds a couple of stars.

Robert Rodriguez seems to have a flare for not only gruesome vampire tales (From Dusk ’til Dawn) and reincarnating graphic novels (Sin City) as he is up for helming another kids story, this time starring David Arquette and Kristin Davis in Dimension Films and Sony Pictures financed pic, The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D.

The story concerns a 10-year-old outcast who is shunned by classmates and forced to spend summer vacation alone. Fortunately for him he has two imaginary friends, Shark Boy and Lava Girl, and along with his buds he goes on a mission to prove that dreams can become reality. Arquette and Davis will play the boy’s parents and newcomers Taylor Dooley, Taylor Lautner and Cayden Boyd will also star in the pic along with George Lopez.
