‘Angels and Demons’ Has Its Female Lead…
...and you will have no idea who she is
Okay, the teaser is a bit of a lie. If you went to see Vantage Point you may recognize Ayelet Zurer. She played Veronica, which (correct me if I am wrong) is the chick that tossed the bomb onto the scene and then did all the kidnapping shit. Forgive me if you haven’t seen it. The film sucks anyway and you shouldn’t see it so consider yourself saved.
Anyhow, Zurer is set to play the role of Vittoria Vetra opposite Tom Hanks in Angels and Demons, another story penned by “Da Vinci Code” author Dan Brown focusing on historical treasure hunter Robert Langdon.
The flick finds Vittoria and Langdon paired up on a journey to uncover the mystery behind her father’s murder and stop a terrorist plot. Sony has yet to cast the roles of Maximilian Kohler (director of CERN) and Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca (aide to the Pope).
The flick was originally supposed to be underway already under the direction of Ron Howard but the writers’ strike threw a snag in thos plans. Now it is set to begin filming in June for a May 15, 2009 release date.
