Cronenberg is one of my favorite directors and I always felt he had a good grasp on the hypocrisy that goes in to rating films, but here he just seems to be defending the rating of his own film over commenting on the bigger picture! Ang Lee makes some excellent points; I know here in the UK receiving an 18 certificate is no where near the albatross it appears to be for an NC-17 in the states.
