Alpha Dog has had quite the wild ride getting to the big screen as the film adaptation based on the life of murder suspect Jesse James Hollywood (changed to Johnny Truelove for the film) hit snags as Jesse went to trial for his alleged crimes. The film depicts Hollywood as the murderous leader of a gang that kidnapped and tortured Californian youths, the lawyer may well have a point.
