Alba Finds Cook’s ‘Luck’

Jessica is Dane's true love

At the beginning of the month it was announced that Dane Cook would be starring in a comedy, Good Luck Chuck, for Lionsgate and first time director Mark Helfrich. It was also announced that they were eyeing either Jessica Alba or Jessica Biel for the female lead in the pic and today Variety confirmed that Alba is the girl.

The film centers on a handsome but self-involved dentist (Cook) who discovers that every woman he goes out with meets her soul mate immediately after dating him, keeping him free to continue playing the field. But the blessing turns into a curse when he meets his true love (Alba).

The script was written by Josh Stolberg and filming is set to begin next month. Alba is currently working on Bill and is set to reprise her roles in Fantastic Four 2 and Sin City 2.
