Fox just released a whole bunch of release date changes, here's the new dates:
- Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (Jul. 2, 2010)
- They Came From Upstairs (Jul. 31, 2009)
- I Love You Beth Cooper (Jul. 10, 2009)
- The Tooth Fairy (Nov. 13, 2009)
- The A-Team (Jun. 11, 2010)
- Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel (Dec. 25, 2009)
On top of all that John Singleton is no longer directing The A-Team.
The news that Steven Soderbergh plans on directing a $30 million 3-D rock musical version of Cleopatra starring Catherine Zeta-Jones in the title role and Hugh Jackman as Marc Antony caused Jeffrey Wells to refer to the idea as "Not an Onion Parody". Not exactly encouraging.

For some reason people are reporting on a FAKE trailer for a Flash movie that hasn't even been greenlit.

Some dude is going to direct an adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk's "Haunted" and fanboys go squeeeee!
Sam Jackson's gonna be in Iron Man 2. Yay.
Brooks Barnes at the New York Times tells us:
The average studio feature now costs $71 million to produce and $36 million to market, according to the Motion Picture Association of America, a 35 percent increase from the average at the start of the decade. In the world of independent films, costs are up even more — 83 percent during the same period.
That seems incredibly high to me.

Folks are speculating that Kenneth Branagh is clearing his schedule to direct Thor. You know the film that Daniel Craig won't star in, a story I have no idea where the actual news is, but it is HUGE in the fanboy world.
