Johnny Depp should win for Public Enemies or Alice in Wonderland 2010. LONG overdue!!! LONG LONG OVERDUE!!!!!
And you know what Daniel Day-Lewis is an awesome Actor, but he has already two of the Golden little Man. sry, but not again. there are other great Actors too. Like Viggo Mortensen as well, for the Road. i hope he gets his 2nd nomination at least. DiCaprio, or Freeman either of them are big faves.

i hope the Academy will not be shitty again in given their Oscars out.

go DEPP!!!

Meryl has too much competition to win. But I can see her getting nominated. The three main contenders for best actress are Hilary Swank for Amelie, Halle Berry for Frankie and Alice, and Audrey Tautou for Coco Avant Chanel.

I highly doubt Meryl will get a nomination without winning this year! The nominees for that category will be Hilary Swank (Amelia), Michelle Pfeiffer (Cheri), Audrey Tautou (Coco Avant Chanel), Meryl Streep (Julie and Julia), and Marion Cotillard (Nine)

Daniel Daylewis for best actor. Maybe, Morgan Freeman might have a better shot at it because its a biopic. But musicals always seem to have a big effect on the oscars so its between them 2.

Jamie Foxx gave one of the best supporting performances in the history of film. If he doesn't win, it would be the worst stolen award in Oscar's history. His performance was just as good if not better than Ray.

I think one of the many actresses who will be featured in "Nine" will win Best Supporting Actress. I hear Kathy Bates and Mo'Nique (who ever the hell she is) will give these actresses a ru for their money.......... We'll see!

Morgan freeman will get nominated but he will not win. Daniel Day-Leis will win. the Best actress award will be between Halle Berry for Frankie & Alice and Marion Collitard. I have the bootleg version of The Soloist and Jamie Foxx will most definently win Best supporting Actor. Patricia Clarckson will win best supporting actress for Shutter Island

Best supporting actress isMeryl streep for Julie and julia and best supporting actor should be Jamie Foxx. I highly doubt he will have any competition for the award.
I hope the academy finally gives Morgan Freeman an oscar for Invictus. He is probablythe ost talented living actor in the business. I see Marion Collitard winning best actress, Jamie Foxx winning best supporting actor (who gave one of the greatest performances in The Solist), and Kathy Bates winning best supporting actress for Cheri.

I don't mean to be a jerk but, you guys do know that Daniel Day Lewis is in Nine right? Just curious cause no one had picked him as winning best actor (not nominated in some cases!! a travesty of the highest order!!! LOL)

Animation is STACKED this year, I don't know if that hurts or helps UP's chances of getting the BIG nod...
9, Coraline, Ponyo, The Princess and the Frog and so on and so on (only 3 flicks nominated last year, it's and over crowded room at this point)

More important than anything, since it is really early to be talking about Gold Bald Statues, is that the back end of this year looks FANTASTIC!!!! At the very least 30 movies worth checking out, and maybe upwards of 45-50! It's pretty exciting.
