Actually, War/Dance screened here, but it was a last minute announcement. It was that, No End in Sight, SiCKO and Taxi to the Darkside. I don't think the final nominee ever actually got a screening.

They were all pretty good choices, though, I have to say. As much as it pained me not to see In the Shadow of the Moon, Crazy Love or (especially) King of Kong on this list, it was hard to quibble with those four making the cut.

You're right, however, it's impossible to watch (let alone review) everything. I had to request screeners on two of those still never found the time to write anything about them.

Sorry, but I think the only other one screened here in Seattle was Taxi to the Dark Side and sometimes I have to bite the bullet and cover what the majority of the people are going to see... I guess that would count as an excuse, and a legitimate one if you ask me.

I guess that's the price I pay for running a 24/7 movie news website virtually on my own. My apologies.

I hate to say this but there is just no excuse to have only seen one of the documentaries out of the list of nominees. The sad thing is I would bet most people have ignored those films as well and I think it really speaks to quite a bit with whats wrong with the world these days. People will watch movie after movie as long as it has thier favorite star in it but if its a documentary that actually has some relevance in whats going on in the world we live in they suddenly have no interest in seeing them and ultimately dont see them.

The funny thing is the documentaries made this last year were far more impressive than most of the other films made during the year. Its just a shame people just dont care about these films at all.
