The 2008 Oscar Poster is Here

Shimmy, shim, shimmery

The poster for the 2008 Oscar Awards has arrived, and this time it was conceived by legendary motion picture poster illustrator Drew Struzan and executed by his son, Christian. For more than 30 years, Drew Struzan has created some of cinema’s most memorable advertising posters, including the one-sheets for all six of George Lucas’ Star Wars films and, most recently, the key art for Steven Spielberg’s upcoming feature, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Yeah folks, they are pandering to the lowest common denominator.

Anywho, if you would like to pick one up yourself, the poster will be available for purchase on the Academy’s Web site or by calling 1-800-554-1814.

You can check out the poster below and give it a click or click here for a much larger version.
