16 New 'Max Payne' Pictures Arrive

Kewl? Unkewl? You tell me...

Russian mobster Mona Sax (Mila Kunis) prepares to battle those responsible for the death of her sister.

Fox just sent over 16 new pictures from the upcoming Max Payne (10/17), which I learned just today that unlike the original 10 PM screening the night before which was originally offered, Seattle critics should expect a two-day advance look. It doesn't necessarily mean the film somehow got better since it was originally set to be previewed for us Seattle folk, but it does show that Fox may not be as worried about potentially negative reviews as they thought they would be. It's a decent sign, but not a great one.

However, a batch of new pictures from the film show some real atmosphere as we get a good look at Mila Kunis as Russian mobster Mona Sax above and what I assume to be an iconic shot mimicking the game of which it is based on as featured below.

You can get a good look at all 22 pictures we have by clicking here or on any of the thumbnails below.

Mark Wahlberg takes on the title role of a driven cop whose pursuits lead him into a dark underworld – and into battle against forces beyond imagination.

Pretty cool stuff…but…Mona Sax isnt a mobster, shes an assassin and that "iconic" shot isnt in either games. The visual representation or halluations of the valkyries is a new aspect of the story and wasnt in the games. :)

Regardless, some good pics, look forward to your review.

Not saying you are wrong, but that was the caption directly from Fox for that image describing her as a mobster. Not sure what they may have changed or if it was an accident on their part.

Hmm…weird. I read the 4th draft of the script, and she definitely wasnt a "mobster" in that. Oh well, either way, its much more fun to blame things on Fox.

i was so excited for this until i saw the "pg-13" rating on this film, the opening scene alone in his house is grounds alone for giving it an "R", and i know a movie shouldn't be judged on it's rating but it's going to be watered down

Heres a couple sweet clips from Spike.

The first is just Max Payne kicking some ass. Gotta say, its some pretty hard hitting action.

Second is with Mila Kunis talking to a Jamaican mob dude.

Love this line: "Stay Away from Max Payne. You dont wanna be near him when judgement day comes."
