Arkin Gets 'Smart' with Carell
Oscar winner finds himself a new comedy
Just days after his Oscar win we learn that Alan Arkin is set to join the cast of Warner Bros. Pictures' Get Smart where he will join Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Terrence Stamp in feature film adaptation of the popular '60s TV series. Directing is The Longest Yard helmer Peter Segal.
Arkin will be playing the role made famous by Edward Platt, the chief of CONTROL, the organization that fights the evil forces of KAOS. Carell is on board as secret agent Maxwell Smart, with Hathaway as Agent 99.
