MSN has debuted the brand new full length trailer for the upcoming film Angels and Demons, best known as the sequel to The Da Vinci Code starring Tom Hanks and directed by Ron Howard.

You can watch the trailer below or in high definition at MSN. Angels and Demons hits theaters on May 15.

The team behind the global phenomenon The Da Vinci Code returns for the highly anticipated Angels & Demons, based upon the bestselling novel by Dan Brown. Tom Hanks reprises his role as Harvard religious expert Robert Langdon, who once again finds that forces with ancient roots are willing to stop at nothing, even murder, to advance their goals. Ron Howard again directs the film, which is produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, and John Calley. The screenplay is by David Koepp and Akiva Goldsman.

When Langdon discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati – the most powerful underground organization in history – he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization's most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. When Langdon learns that the clock is ticking on an unstoppable Illuminati time bomb, he jets to Rome, where he joins forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and enigmatic Italian scientist. Embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra will follow a 400-year-old trail of ancient symbols that mark the Vatican's only hope for survival.

This is based on one of my favorite books of all time and I gotta say the trailer looks fantastic!

This book was definitely better than The DaVinci Code, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

It's funny how things are always done backwards, this book actually takes place prior to The DaVinci Code. I'm glad it was made, I think it will be more fun and attact more than The DaVinci Code.

Angels and Demons [the book] is FAR superior to The DaVinci Code.
DaVinci Code just got a ton of press due to subject matter.
I cannot WAIT for Angels and Demons.
If it is even anywhere NEAR as great as the book was, it will be PHENOMENAL.

I agree. Angels & Demons was an excellent thriller/tour guide for Rome. I was extremely let down when I read The DaVinci Code after it because I was expecting that one to one-up A&D because of all the monstrous hype. Turns out the hype was just because of the controversial subject matter, as Ty mentioned above.

Hopefully the general audience who haven't read the books and were disappointed by DaVinci give this a chance.

Here, In India, the censor board has requested the Religious Heads (of Christianity) to watch the movie pre-release, and then suggest some cuts if needed before May15th. As if the other people don't have brains of their own.

'Hypocrite' – is the only word that comes to mind and I can think of these people.

Well, Dan, there goes your Freedom of Expression for a toss.

Everybody knows that 'Angels & Demons' is fictitious as and CANNOT be more fictitious than Bible or ANY Religious book of the world.

'Population Explosion' and 'Religion' are the only two major basic causes of Conflict in the whole damn f**king world. Solution: We should educate the people about the former and JUST BAN the latter.

I loved 'The Da Vinci Code', both the novel and the movie.

Can't bear to wait for your third book of the trilogy : 'The Lost Symbol'.
