UPDATE: Alternate 'District 9' Trailer with Subtitles and No Blur
So that's what the alien was saying...
UPDATE: Apparently the alien's name is "George" as Sony has just sent over a new blog post from the District 9 viral site MNU Spreads Lies, and it looks like "George" is also a blogger (sort of corny if you ask me). The text from the post translates to say this is his first interrogation.
If this were just a video with the Chicago font subtitles and the blurring still intact I would say it was an obvious fake, but IMDb appears to have debuted a new version of the District 9 trailer with not only subtitles, but the blurring of the alien's face removed.
The Neill Blomkamp directed and Peter Jackson produced sci-fi feature is set in a fictional world where extraterrestrials have become refugees in South Africa. The film is set for an August 14 release and outside of knowing it expands on Blomkamp's previous short film (watch that here) very little else is known about the film. Perhaps this new element to the trailer will help you out some.
Give it a watch below.

I am EXTREMELY excited about this.
Not much info is given, like you said, but I find that with the subtitles it adds an entirely new element to the movie.
It's looks like, if done right, it could be really really great.
I'm very excited for this film! I'm definitely going to keep an eye on it.
This looks like it can be an interesting yet sad film. Sad as in us mistreating the aliens cause like they said how can we go home if you have our ship? looks good let us hope it is
so; it's an alien nation remake?
FirstShowing.net saw some footage at ShowWest:
The trailer is impressive but I dislike this whole "turning-into-one-of-them" aspect. It seems rather corny for a film that's meant to be a sort of gritty documentary (with aliens and flying saucers – okay, but there are limits to everyone's suspension-of-disbelief).
this should cool i will most definatley be checking it out
now that makes soooooooo much sense… you can see the plot a little more clearly now…instead of the humans being held captive by aliens its the other way round… i am not sure of a whole lot at this point… it seems documentary-like but maybe thats just for the trailer the actual movie would have the aliens kicking some human butt and hightailing out of here… now that would be DIFFERENT and much welcome… i still havent gotten over the war of the world fiasco… and i want some alien retribution ;)
