First 'Ater Earth' Poster Starring Will and Jaden Smith

Danger is real, Fear is a choice

20th Century Fox will premiere a new trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's After Earth later today, but first they've decided to offer up the following first poster for the film.

After Earth is a new sci-fi feature starring Will Smith along with his son Jaden Smith. The story is set one thousand years after cataclysmic events forced humanity's escape from Earth and Nova Prime has become mankind's new home. Legendary General Cypher Raige (Will Smith) returns from an extended tour of duty to his estranged family, ready to be a father to his 13-year-old son, Kitai (Jaden Smith). When an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai's craft, they crash-land on a now unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. As his father lies dying in the cockpit, Kitai must trek across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon. His whole life, Kitai has wanted nothing more than to be a soldier like his father. Today, he gets his chance.

After Earth hits theaters on June 7. Stay tuned as I will have the new trailer for you soon, but first here's that poster.

    This is Sony, not Fox.

That looks nothing like Will Smith. The photoshop under his eye it too pulled back.

    No interest here for me.

Shmalambalayan is kinda getting a last shot here right? I mean if he blows this who will ever allow him to touch anything again? Who knows maybe he knocks it out of the park and drop the whole kitschy twist act and start to make legitimate movies. Very, very unlikely though.

With Smith you get mediocrity, with M Night you get diabolical, who knows which way it will go
