Ackerman as Silk Spectre in 'Watchmen'?
We are edging closer to a complete cast list
LatinoReview has yet another casting scoop today as they are saying that Malin Ackerman has signed on to star in the graphic novel adaptation Watchmen for Zack Snyder as Laurie Juspeczyk a.k.a. Laurie Jupiter a.k.a. Silk Spectre.
Previous Silk Spectre casting rumors included Joan Allen and more recently Kate Winslet, but LatinoReview seems quite confident in their scoop. They go on to tell us that Laurie Juspeczyk was once known as the hero Silk Spectre when superheroes were once allowed to roam the streets. Now after superheroes were forced by the government to give up their crimefighting, Laurie resides with the very blue and very naked Dr. Manhattan (rumored to be played by Billy Crudup).
Ackerman's name seems to be popping up everywhere lately as she is starring in The Invasion, The Brothers Solomon, The Heartbreak Kid and 27 Dresses in the near future.
In other Watchmen news out of LatinoReview they say they can now confirm that Jackie Earle Haley will indeed star in the film as Walter Kovacs a.k.a. Rorschach.
As of late I have grown to trust LatinoReview, which leads me to believe that this means three roles (Silk Spectre, Dr. Manhattan and Rorschach) have now been cast in the new film and I only hope to hear more at Comic Con. For a previous list of rumored castings check this article out.
