While Fox already leaked the news to the press to get early buzz, today's batch of MPAA ratings officially brings us the R-rating for A Good Day To Die Hard. 2007's Live Free or Die Hard was the first in the franchise to get a PG-13 rating, which means 2013's return of John McClane will most likely feature his signature catchphrase unedited.

Additional ratings this week include Love Actually helmer Richard Curtis' About Time starring Rachel McAdams and Bill Nighy, Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner's Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters, Kristen Wiig's Girl Most Likely and a rating for the re-issue of Alfred Hitchcock's To Catch A Thief.

With Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters rated R, no one is going to see it.

Agreed. While the rating pleases me and I think the movie could be fun, Hansel and Gretel is going to absolutely tank at the box office.

All that hype and its just "violence" and not "strong violence"? I mean... it is an action flick.

I was thinking the same thing...this isnt a rating that shows it was filmed as an R...probably looking at CG blood added like the unrated of LFoDH and only a few F bombs...thatd be my guess.

My guess is they planned a PG-13, heard the internet bitching, then chose to release what they were going to use as an unrated cut.

      Just a theory.

        Yep. Like Expendables 2.

Glad it is rated r instead of pg13. Can't wait for die hard.

Nudity for Hensel and Gretel?? Say what??

So much for Hansel and Gretel being a box office bomb. It's set to top the box office this weekend.
