20th Century Fox has lifted the veil on A Good Day to Die Hard (aka Die Hard 5) as Bruce Willis yet again returns as John McClane, the role he originated in 1988's Die Hard and has done so three more times since. This time around he's joined by his son, Jack (Jai Courtney), who is caught up in a daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader. Ultimately the two must work together to keep each other alive and save the day.

The film is directed by John Moore (Max Payne), co-stars Sebastian Koch, Yulia Snigir, Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Megalyn Echikunwoke and Anne Vyalitsyna and will hit theaters on February 14, 2013.

Check out the trailer below and see what you think. One thing is for certain, the trailer makers really liked the font ideas found in the trailers for David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Honestly, the trailer was nice and it looks like it could be a fuckton of fun but a February release date just troubles me. Unless they're working with the wide open space of early year release to make a ton of bank, which is probably exactly what the case is.

Good old McClane kicking ass. Im in.

This looks like a step in the right direction.
I did not care for the last one at all; too staged, too glossy.
Also glad to see Beethoven's 5th back. That and "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" were sorely lacking from the last one. I mean, listen to this and try to NOT picture McClane vs Gruber. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3k8H_9SjoM

Yeah, the release date is a surprise and seems like a huge warning light. Also, the original charm is that McClane is so hopelessly outmatched as a cop who is fighting international professionals. The shot of his running with a machine screams "trained elite soldier" not "weary beat cop." Though the sense of humor in the trailer is welcome, it largely comes from the juxtaposition of the image and the music and the editing. I'm worried.

Oh, McClane... Where were you in 9/11?

It can't be worse than the last.....................or could it? This trailer doesn't really convince me either way.

But a February release? Either Fox is being bold or they know they don't have much to work with.

I cannot wait. I have been vocal about this before, I will follow John McClane until he is fighting imaginary terrorists in the nursing home with a walker and a new hip. I think this will be a fun ride. I like the nods to the earlier movies with the music in this teaser.... And the line about being the "Double O Seven of New Plain New Jersey was was great!

And don't fear the February release date, it's being released on Valentines Day to counter program whatever Rom-com comes out that day....

Looks badass. Bruce Willis is my favorite Hollywood badass.
