35 New Looks at 'London Boulevard' Starring Colin Farrell and Keira Knightley
One thing's for certain, Chris Menges shot a good looking film
Just above are nine of the 35 new images I've just added from William Monahan's forthcoming London Boulevard starring Colin Farrell, Keira Knightley and Ray Winstone to name a select few. Marking The Departed screenwriter's directorial debut, London Boulevard finally found an American distributor in FilmDistrict after hitting UK cinemas last November and having already hit DVD and Blu-ray in some territories, but a release date has yet to be set.
The film centers on a South London criminal (Farrell) who, after release from prison, tries to give up the gangster life by becoming a handyman for a reclusive young actress (Knightley).
After watching the international trailer I mentioned how it looked like they were "basically selling a so-so underworld gangster flick that's light around the edges with a bit of a dark undercurrent." Essentially, nothing new, and my guess is the "light around the edges" parts just don't really come across too entertaining or this thing would have already been in theaters stateside.
For those that haven't watched the trailer yet I added it directly below and you can browse the complete gallery of 35 images right here. No matter what happens with the film, Chris Menges (The Mission) certainly proves he can shoot a pretty picture as several of these stills are quite impressive.

I saw this movie last week in Paris, it was really bad and Keira Knightley's screen time was less than 5 minutes and her character didn't even make sense but the worst one was David Thwelis which is funny in the movie but his charcter was stupidly put in the film
I ordered a UK version on dvd a few months ago…it is really not a goos film at all. Absolutely, and completely mediocre through and through…
It does look good but its a weak film, expected better considering the talent involved.
Seen it. shitty movie.
Awful film
Is this ever going to come out in the States? Or is terrible to the point where they aren't even trying to bring it here?
